This is a racing game with mostly buggies and dirt bikes (as per the name of the game, and it was created by THQ, which is a company that has made a lot of these types of game. There is very little that is new or innovative in this one; it is just another take on the type, but it is not a bad take. The company made a few good decisions in keeping what works and discarding what doesn’t, which makes this game perfect for die-hard fans of the series.
What To Do With All Your Money
There is a short and shallow story that you do not need to bother watching. Play in the career mode and you race for money, which is all fair and good but it doesn’t do much for you. Having money simply allows you to change the way your vehicle looks and that is all. There are a lot of vehicles you can play with, with most of them being buggies and bikes.
Explore And See The Crowd
The graphics are okay in places where your eye will fall, meaning that your character and bike, the competitors and the track all look great, but if you look into the distance or at other things in the game, then the graphics vary from okay to poor. For example, look at the faces in the crowd by getting close, and they are mostly bubbles with blobs for eyes.
Weird Sound Effects But Cool Songs
There are a few songs within the game, but for the most part, they are good and appropriate. The tricks you can pull off are good without being too outlandish, which helps to keep this game moving too far into arcade territory. There are some weird sound effects when your bike is in the air, but you don’t notice it after a while.
Take Up A Racing Career
The career mode is rather good, but again, you are only playing for money and to get to the next level. You cannot do much with your money, and the story is so shallow that you can skip through it without missing anything. The maps and tracks are not innovative, but are perfectly suited for what you need to do - going fast, building momentum and doing tricks.
The AI Race Fairly
The other AI players in the game are fair, which means there is no artificial handicapping or advantages, and the multiplayer has a lot of replay value if you can get other people to play with you.
